We are seeking a high-energy, Community Relations Manager to join our team and volunteer community!
Reporting to the Senior Director of Events and Communities, the Community Relations Manager focuses on the growth and maturation of CSCMP's roundtables while delivering CSCMP’s mission. This role is responsible for the overall maintenance and evolution of the global roundtable community, accountable for growing the number of roundtables, increasing membership by enforcing higher event standards such as member to nonmember pricing ratios,improving event attendance, and developing and maintaining community policies, best practices, and resources.
You must be a self-starter proficient in organizational, project management, and time management skills. Must be able to collaborate well on projects with a team of volunteers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading a team of roundtable support staff assigned to various roundtable regions
Serving as point of contact for volunteer leaders, providing guidance, answering questions and addressing policy issues.
Developing strong working relationships with roundtable volunteer leaders and ensure these stakeholders are committed to CSCMP national goals
Proactively identifying community needs and promote community policies, processes, and resources; maintain the Community Policies (Guidebook)
Working closely with the Membership Engagement Manager to support membership recruitment and retention via roundtables
Assessing CSCMP’s roundtables by monitoring annual program compliance and best practices; documenting and communicating program details i.e. common topics and speakers
Developing, running, and reporting on roundtable event performance, finances, and membership
Identifying struggling roundtables and develop an action plan for success
Identifying areas for establishing new roundtables and volunteers
Other duties as assigned

5+ years demonstrated, progressive experience managing volunteers and/or volunteer programs
3+ years’ experience in a membership-driven association or organization that focuses on member needs and how to meet them
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects while still meeting deadlines
Excellent promotional writing and management skills for print and online content (including for LinkedIn)
Familiarity with Association Management software (currently iMIS)
A demonstrated track record of developing and executing communications, and events/programs
The analytical skills to measure success using event, and membership data, to translate into easily understandable reports, dashboards, and visualizations
Knowledge of best practices in volunteering/chapters, membership, marketing/communications
Experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple communities and working with different communication styles
A strong customer service attitude and the ability to build collaborative relationships with members, volunteers, and other staff
The desire to keep learning new things and applying them to improve processes and workflows in productivity, efficiency, and ease-of-use for both volunteers/members and staff
A genuine curiosity with a passion for learning, as well as for helping others and making things better
A high degree of judgment, autonomy, and discretion to work with minimal supervision
The initiative to question current practices, propose ideas, share opinions, and propose solutions
