Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Engagement/Relationship Manager will work directly to develop new partnerships with businesses and corporations that will result in increased fundraising dollars for Easterseals New Jersey. This position will work across functions internally in order to serve as an external face for incoming corporate prospects including those interested in volunteering.
Candidate must have superior skills in organization, time management, communication, and customer service! Great attention to detail and a can-do attitude!

Roles & Responsibilities:
Work closely with Director and team members to implement a development plan to meet organizational goals aligning with Easterseals New Jersey’s mission.
Manage and organize development based events, working with community partners, vendors, Easterseals New Jersey staff and at times members of advisory boards to ensure success and achievement of goals.
Manage and motivate volunteers with assistance from Development Coordinator. Collaborating with team members, utilize these volunteer projects to provide strategic opportunities for increased fundraising.
Seek out, cultivate, and manage relationships with community organizations, businesses, and corporations that lead to increased agency funding.
Under the supervision of their supervisor, devises and delivers specific aspects of the team’s strategic/business plan and assist with planning activities and programs.
Develop internal relationships, particularly with staff within the advancement/marketing team, to ensure external relationships are maximized.
Serve as the point of contact for partners who support fundraising efforts, ensuring appropriate agreements are in place and that deliverables are timely.
Create new and innovative ways to engage partners – both existing and potential, that will result in increased financial support.

Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years’ experience in fundraising, non-profit, and/or relationship management environment
Experience planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with Raisers Edge a plus
Must be comfortable working within a fast paced environment, moving from team oriented projects to managing individual tasks
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to work some nights and weekends
Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers
Proficient computer skills capable of learning new programs related to fundraising projects/programs.
Must be well organized, able to communicate, prioritize and juggle multiple projects
Strong problem-solving skills
Professional: Knowledge of and/or experience in fundraising. Knowledge and/or experience in human services field a plus.
Preferred skills: Experience with a donor database is preferred; ability to work within a budget, create and keep accurate records for each project, provide friendly donor-centric service and represent Easterseals New Jersey and our mission in a professional and positive manner. Preferred candidates are those experienced with annual giving, planned giving and/or corporate relations. A candidate with transferrable skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
