Provide seeks an independent, skillful and proficient Development Coordinator who functions well in a remote work environment. This individual will provide excellent fundraising support for the organization. The Development Coordinator is responsible for administrative operations and task coordination within a growing Fund Development department, including support for our individual giving, major donor and institutional grants programs.
Description This is a part-time remote work position open to applicants based in the United States. Travel for staff is required for mandatory organizational meetings once a year. The Development Coordinator reports directly to the Director of Development.
Work responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative support for the Fund Development department – 50% • Assist the Director of Development with maintaining overall fluidity and streamlined efficiency of the Development department processes • Responsible for executing gift processing and acknowledgements • Maintain records and files for Fund Development team • Basic formatting and copy-editing support for various documents including grant applications and reports • Conduct research and assist in creating briefings related to prospects, donors and institutional funders as needed • Perform mail merges and other basic duties associated with donor solicitation and other related mailings as assigned
Maintain and update donor database – 40% • Responsible for maintaining detailed, accurate, and accessible donor and prospect related records in donor database with keen attention to detail • Perform database maintenance and clean-up projects to improve data integrity and database performance • Assist with creation of donor lists and other gift queries and database reports as needed
Perform additional team responsibilities – 10% • Attend team meetings via video conference regularly and with eagerness to foster creative collaboration and shared problem solving • Other Fund Development related duties as requested • Offer ideas and creative strategy for reaching new audiences and engaging existing donors
Location Provide staff are 100% remote workers and we do not have a physical location. This is a remote position for an applicant based in the United States and who can work with others on a remote team.

Qualifications • 2+ years of relevant experience in administrative support • 1 year of experience in a nonprofit Development or Fundraising department • Experience with a donor database highly preferred (eTapestry preferred) • Accurate, basic math skills • Strong record-keeping & document management skills • Reliable, self-motivated, proactive, and organized with superb task management skills and attention to detail • Ability to work in a remote team-oriented environment o Excellent communication skills (in-person, email, phone, strong writing skills, proficiency with technology) o Expertise with Microsoft Office including fluency with Word, Excel, and Outlook o Great problem- solving skills and ability to complete tasks while learning o Experience using Asana Project Management Tool preferred but not required • Excellent interpersonal skills including ability to effectively and professionally communicate with remote staff using video conferencing, chat platforms, and instant messaging • Commitment to and excitement about Provide’s core mission, values and programs

Additional Salary Information: The Development Coordinator is part-time position of 25 hours per week with a starting annual salary of $20,000.
