Meals on Wheels America is looking for a Project Director who will work with the Strategy and Impact team to support our portfolio of healthcare initiatives. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, has strong verbal and written communication skills, and is a team player. This position reports to the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer.
The Project Director is responsible for work with our current healthcare partners and potential new partners. The work will focus on planning and executing projects, managing stakeholder relationships, designing reports, and ensuring deadlines are met. This position will support the development and fulfillment of healthcare partnerships and have day-to-day responsibility for this initiative.
Duties and responsibilities
Lead and manage work with healthcare partners to define services, engage local Meals on Wheels providers, implement programs, and deliver contracted services
Work with legal to establish contracts with healthcare partners and subcontractors
Manage project plans from initiation and planning through execution and closure
Develop strong relationships with local Meals on Wheels providers, and other external stakeholders, to effectively execute projects and operations
Spearhead strong communication within project teams
Support the design and creation of proposals to new healthcare partner prospects
Provide reports to stakeholders and leadership
Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
Ensure project deadlines are met
Provide support to other Strategy and Impact initiatives as needed
Develops strong relationships with local Meals on Wheels providers, and other external stakeholders, to effectively execute projects and operations.
Assists in research efforts to support Meals on Wheels America.
Provide support to other Strategy and Impact and Meals on Wheels America initiatives as needed.
Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 5-7 years of related experience
Experience in project management best practices
Ability to manage complex, multi-year projects
Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects while maintaining strong communication with team members, Meals on Wheels providers and healthcare partners
Experience with process development
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a strong team dynamic
Good interpersonal and listening skills
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations both in-person and virtually
Some familiarity with Medicare Advantage and Medicaid policy, preferred
Strong organizational and planning skills
Excellent computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, etc.)
PMP certification desirable
