Reporting directly to Senior Executive Director of Development, the Special Gifts Officer will work collaboratively with the Special Services and Alumni Relations teams to create customized strategies for cultivating and soliciting five-figure gifts from Montefiore & Einstein grateful patients, alumni, parents and friends. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter capable of building sustainable, long-term philanthropic relationships while meeting annual fundraising goals.
Identify, qualify and engage alumni and grateful patient prospects with a goal of building the broader Montefiore & Einstein donor pipeline.
Build a personal portfolio of assigned prospect and donor relationships to advance the organization’s mission through the direct cultivation and solicitation of gifts in the range of $10,000-$99,000.
Partner with departmental and organization leaders to assist with the implementation of a clinician engagement/grateful patient fundraising program.
Represent Montefiore & Einstein in all interactions with volunteers, executive leaders, campus leaders, physicians, scientists, and staff, and encourage culture of philanthropy.
Meet and/or exceed metrics for monthly qualification attempts, meetings and dollars raised.
Qualified candidates will have earned a bachelor’s degree and have 3-5 years of frontline fundraising experience, preferably within a research, academic or healthcare organization.
Candidates should have computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and The Raiser’s Edge database or a comparable fundraising database.
