The NASCAR Foundation seeks a Director of Development, responsible for the fundraising and revenue goals for The Foundation. The Director will develop and execute an annual fundraising plan that includes special events, at-track activation, sponsor engagement, individual gifts, major gifts and legacy gifts. Travel 20%, including weekends.
Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan
Oversee fundraising efforts to support The Foundation's programs
Develop, implement and monitor progress towards short and long term fundraising strategies and goals
Cultivate relationships with current and prospective donors and supporters
Maintain oversight of all fundraising activities including special events, major giving, direct mail appeals, and corporate partnership initiatives
Serve as a public representative of the organization, including cultivating relationships with community members, including prospective volunteers and supporters, in order to build awareness of and commitment to the work of The Foundation
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as requested by department leadership
Participate in meetings, staff meetings and other organizational meetings as directed
Directly supervises fundraising team
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and a minimum of eight years related experience and/or training in fundraising and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven track record of raising funds from diverse sources, including individual and major gifts, foundations, corporations and government agencies.
Experience in donor cultivation, special events, contracts management and grant writing.
Demonstrated commitment to accountability, measuring outcomes and a results-oriented culture.
Strong written and verbal communications.
Strong interpersonal, supervision, administration and management skills.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
Possess sounds judgment, professionalism and a positive attitude.
Possess resourcefulness, creativity and strong problem-solving skills.
