POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Assistant supports the fundraising and future campaign activities of the Development Department through a broad range of administrative support, including assisting with maintaining data quality of the fundraising database (Salesforce Non-Profit Success Pack), pulling standard reports, and facilitating gift acceptance and acknowledgement creation. This position reports directly to the Chief Development Officer.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in monitoring the Salesforce systems database records. Ensure that accurate records are kept of all contacts with donors and prospects.
Facilitate gift data entry and acknowledgement processing within 72 hours of gifts received.
Assist with coordination and execution of mailings and creation of mailing lists for solicitations and communications as prescribed by the annual operating plan.
Ensure that accurate records are kept across all software systems. This includes reconciliation of accounting and other software information vs. Salesforce information.
Create, run and analyze/edit reports as needed including mailing lists for multiple donor audiences.
Stay up to date on software changes/updates. Recommend and assist adoption of new systems/processes.
Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to assist with fundraising events.
Assist Development Team with projects in the annual operating plan.
Administrative responsibilities and other related job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities):
High school diploma; additional computer training or certification not required but will be an asset.
Proven data entry work experience and familiarity with administrative duties as a Data Entry operator or Office Administrator.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy, as well as confidentiality a must.
Strong organizational skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks and problem solve.
Requires the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interact with a variety of individuals including coworkers, community leaders, committee volunteers, health care professionals, and the general public.
Requires the analytical ability necessary to maintain databases, operate word processing software, prepare reports, record and direct messages and prepare correspondence.
Experience with MS Office and other data programs like Salesforce, Classy, Greater Giving and/or Eventbrite preferred.
