Founded in 1975, the Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) empowers Latino families with knowledge and resources needed to successfully complete a higher education, and provides scholarships and support services to as many exceptional Hispanic American students as possible.
This Analyst position supports the Manager, Grants and Compliance in securing and executing all grants and donations, through their life cycles. This includes maintaining detailed records on grants and other donations, assisting with collection of program outcomes and other data necessary for compliance reporting, prospect research, and drafting proposals and reports as needed. The analyst will provide administrative support for stewardship of corporate and foundation partnerships, archiving critical partnership communications, tracking deadlines, and maintaining reporting records. In addition, this individual helps coordinate activities that cultivate HSF donors.
Knowledge of record maintenance in Salesforce or equivalent CRM database
Knowledge of gift entry and database maintenance
Knowledge and/or understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship
Knowledge of prospect research
Some understanding of grant writing
Detailed and task-oriented—skilled in prioritizing a large volume of tasks and keeping detailed records on grants and compliance activities
Skilled in conducting prospect research, utilizing a variety of online platforms
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work with diverse individuals and groups
Ability to track, manage, and report on large volumes of data and communication, specifically related to the grants and compliance process
Ability to take initiative and to work both independently and as a member of a team
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in fundraising role, with an emphasis on fundraising and grant writing, or commensurate experience in for-profit client sales, marketing, or business development
This is an exempt position, operating during standard business hours. During periods of high volume work, some evening or weekend work may be required.
